...know therefore and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
— Deuteronomy 4:39

Words are what God used to command things into existence.  Jesus spoke them to calm the storm. Words have power.

We create entire narratives in our minds using words to build or tear, and often end up building and tearing accordingly in life. Usually ourselves. And also others. Words serve as an anchor to our emotions. They can steady or sink us. What we tell ourselves matter.

I wish to live my days in the intersection between  everyday life and eternal perspective. With a narrative where Light shines in the darkness, letting the Word be the lamp unto our feet, it says it is. A narrative where the Word has the final word and edits all other words.

I'm a work in progress, as are the words I share here. My prayer is that in sharing them, they encourage both of us, as I process them through the filter of the best words I know. Those found in the Bible.
